struggles or issues which many people are going through at this time.
This season’s flower
essence is: GOLDEN ARMOR
from Green Hope Farm
This is an overall
strong buffering & protective combination mixture, especially helpful
with protection from discordant sound vibrations and electro-magnetic
radiation.

flower essences of golden & white yarrow, St John’s Wort, Goldenrod, and
several other protective plants.

12 GIFTS TO GIVE YOURSELF THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
As sensitive people, we
are susceptible to overwhelm, exhaustion, and depression during the
pressures and hectic pace of the holiday season. This year resolve to
give yourself the 12 gifts below, which will make a world of difference
in your experience of the holidays this season.
-
Time for meditation or silence:
Sensitive people
need to unwind and give their nervous system and body a chance to
process and release. Beginning your day with meditation will get you
off on the right foot. Make this a daily practice to feel centered
and grounded.
-
Time for gratitude:
Thanksgiving & the holidays often
become of time of shopping and family pressures, rather than a
ritual of gratitude. Make a list of all the things you are grateful
for. The big things and the small, no matter how silly, such as your
favorite snack food, your computer, whatever you are grateful for
in your life. Put the list where you will see it throughout the
season as a daily reminder of your blessings. Send gratitude each
time you see it and notice how it makes you feel.
-
A gift for yourself that acknowledges your eccentricity &
uniqueness:
Okay, let’s face it. As a sensitive
person, you often feel like the odd man out, and some of your tastes
and likes aren’t of the norm. Celebrate that this holiday season!
Give yourself the poster, the music, the book, the food, or the
clothing that YOU like. No matter what anyone else would think about
it. You are unique, and thank goodness for that. It would be one
incredibly boring world if we were all the same.
-
Music & song:
This season surround yourself with
music that uplifts your soul. You may have one CD that you listen to
all season, or your feelings may change frequently. Either way,
trust your gut instinct to listen to the music that meets your needs
at the time for relaxation, energy or soothing.
-
Food that nourishes your body & soul:
This is a time
when we may feel pressured to eat what other people consider to be
the food of the season, rather than what our bodies’ are telling us
we need. Don’t scold yourself for eating too many cookies, that
won’t achieve anything positive. But listen to your cravings and
feed your body what it is telling you it needs.
-
Trust your intuitive gifts to choose just the right presents:
As a
sensitive person, you have a keen sense of intuition. This year,
don’t think so hard about what gifts to buy for people. Trust your
gut or your heart, wherever you feel your intuition speaks to you,
and don’t second guess even if you think the gift may seem silly.
Gifts that come from intuition are often much more meaningful than
anything you could come up with in your head.
-
Get enough sleep:
You need to unwind and release each
day. A good night’s sleep is an important part of keeping your body
and nervous system running smoothly. Go to bed a little early and
don’t feel guilty about it.
-
Something to keep you warm:
Sensitive people are more likely to
be chilled by the cold, be it temperature, winds, or cold words.
Stock up on things that keep you warm – tea, long underwear, warm
pajamas – to stave off that chill before it happens.
-
Something to keep you relaxed & centered in the car:
Holiday
driving and parking can be a challenge, not to mention the snow and
ice that some of us may encounter. Make your vehicle a haven, so
your time in it is a positive experience. For example - keep a
fragrance that you love, such as an essential oil in the car, keep
tasty snacks in your car, make sure you have relaxing music to
listen to or turn the radio off if it isn’t harmonious.
-
A new book, music or movie – just for fun:
Sensitive people
have a tendency to be a little too serious and to constantly read
non-fiction titles for self-improvement. This season make sure you
also include some fiction or music that is light and entertaining,
no matter how silly or tacky it may seem. You need some escapism
sometimes.
-
Acceptance of yourself and how you are different from your family:
Family pressures are a challenge for most everybody during the
holidays. Try to remember that your parents or family are trying to
create closeness through certain rituals, no matter how misguided or
aggravating you may find these practices to be.
This year, rather
than getting caught up in the same old familiar feelings of family
dysfunction, reward yourself for being different than your family.
Sit and make a list of all the ways you are different from your
family. Pat yourself on the back for being a unique individual and
for all the work you’ve done to become who you are. Alternatively,
if you are the parent of adult children, pat yourself on the back
for raising them into unique, independent adults.
-
Love:
This will be the hardest gift for
most of you to give yourselves, but it is the most important. Send
love to yourself – all your strengths AND your imperfections.
Say it, write it, demonstrate it through kindness to
yourself, and interrupt yourself when you are mentally beating
yourself up. Do these things whether or not you really believe it
because the intent will still have an effect of creating more
harmony within yourself.
I wish all of you a
joyous and fun-filled holiday season, and a prosperous New Year!
