NEW
CLASSES!
Kundalini: The Root of Feminine Power
Sundays, 1:00-2:30, location in Minneapolis, MN (or by email)
4 week
course, $60
Beginning February 22, 2004
Kundalini is an ancient word for the immense spiritual energy we all have
lying dormant within us. This energy is seen as coiled at the base of the
spine until it is awakened. Awakened kundalini has the potential to rise
through the body, bringing ever increasing spiritual enlightenment,
awareness and joy.
This
class will cover the basics of kundalini: methods that awaken kundalini; the
purification process that kundalini requires; and the pitfalls that can
occur if kundalini is awakened unintentionally or prematurely.
This
class is subtitled The Root of
Feminine Power because
Kundalini is essentially the Goddess energy within all of us. It is a truly
powerful connection to the divine feminine.

Intensive Healing
Class
Thursdays, 7:00-8:30, location in Minneapolis, MN
6 week course, $150 ($25 per class)
Beginning February 26, 2004
Intensive healing is needed more and more these days as we enter a time of
purification and clearing. Many receive diagnoses of chronic fatigue,
auto-immune disorders or other baffling illnesses as our bodies try to
communicate to us what needs to be healed and cleared.
This class will consist of various methods of healing in addition to
information specific to each student’s needs.
This class is open to all, no matter what physical, emotional or soul
healing you feel is needed. Prior experience with energy healing is helpful,
but not required.

Crystal Children
Discussion & Playgroups
Wednesdays, 10:00-10:40am, location in St. Paul, MN
Weekly ongoing meetings, $40 per month
Beginning in March 2004
Today’s children are born with innate gifts of sensitivity in all respects.
“Crystal children” is the term that has been coined for this latest
generation of kids, roughly ages 0-7. You can expect your crystal child to
be highly aware of the world around her, and to challenge you and your
perceptions of mind, body & spirit.
Bring your young child with you to these meetings where you will meet other
like-minded parents. We will discuss various issues related to parenting a
crystal child including holistic remedies, understanding children’s
sensitivities, as well as other issues that come up which will help you
support and understand the needs of your crystal child.
The initial group will be for parents and their children age newborn through
age 2.
Meetings will begin when there is a sufficient number of registrants.
Call or email Dr. Mesich to register: 651-735-8880,
drmesich@kyramesich.com
Please also call or email
if your child is older than 2, or if you need another meeting time other
than weekday morning. Additional groups will be opened as needed.

depression – How to identify your own empathic ability – Alternative health
remedies for emotional sensitivity – How to develop your empathic ability to
solve life-long struggles with emotional sensitivity or depression.

II. FLOWER ESSENCE OF THE SEASON:
GENTIAN
In this new addition to my “quarterly” (most of the
time) newsletter, I will highlight one flower essence remedy which
encapsulates the current emotional energies. It will reflect the struggles
or issues which many people are going through at the same time.
This season’s flower essence is:
Gentian
Positive Qualities:
Perseverance, confidence; faith to continue despite apparent setbacks
Patterns of Imbalance: Discouragement after a setback; doubt
Definition: The soul can become
strong and vibrant only by becoming resilient. Obstacles and problems test
the soul's ability to respond, and to trust in the unfoldment of life.
Those in need of Gentian become too
easily discouraged and disheartened when problems and setbacks occur. Such
souls view impediments as insurmountable problems, and are unable to
discover solutions. The individual needs to learn that such vexing
situations occur because they are exactly those lessons which are needed for
growth and strength. Gentian gives encouragement, especially helping the
soul to shift its mental perspective and see the long view. The doubting and
skeptical qualities which the soul harbors are gradually transformed into
deeper faith. Gentian flower essence helps the soul to acquire great inner
fortitude and unwavering trust in the outcome of life events.
This description of the Gentian
flower essence remedy is from the Flower Essence Repertory from FES.
Gentian is available through FES,
www.fesflowers.com. It is also
available from Bach Flower Remedies.

ANSWERS TO READERS’ QUESTIONS
I frequently receive questions via email,
and, unfortunately, my schedule doesn’t allow me to give a personal response
to each one. I apologize if you are one of the questioners to whom I have
never responded. (I also receive hundreds of spams a day, so occasionally
legitimate emails are deleted.)
In this and future newsletters, I will answer some of the questions I’ve
received:
Q: Does the emotional sensitivity that we have towards people also
include animals?
A: Sure. Animals, particularly domesticated animals and pets, are emotional,
empathic creatures. So you may sometimes find yourself feeling the empathic
communication your or someone else’s pet is trying to communicate.
On the other side of the coin, it is helpful for pet owners to understand
how empathically sensitive their pets naturally are. The family pet’s state
of health and ailments are very often reflecting the household’s emotional
environment. If the people of the house are ill or experiencing a lot of
stress or transition, you can bet your animals are empathically feeling it
all. And your pets may end up expressing this through behavioral changes or
physical symptoms.
Luckily, you can help your pets just as you would yourself. The flower
essence remedies that you need can be shared with your pets by putting a few
drops in their water bowl.
Q: What role do diet & exercise play in empathic sensitivity?
A: This is an important question. I don’t know if I can over-stress the
importance of diet and exercise for sensitive people. In regard to diet, it
is important to eat regularly. Smaller, more frequent meals are generally
best for sensitive people. At least make sure you have an afternoon snack,
so you do not become depleted late in the day. Also, try to be aware of
foods you should limit or avoid. Most sensitive people will have some food
sensitivities. Examples are things such as caffeine, sugar or wheat
products.
Exercise is important to keep the sensitive person’s energy flowing and
recirculating. Think about a room in which the air is never recirculated -
it becomes stagnant. Exercise keeps your energy moving, and hence helps you
recirculate and recycle the energies and emotions you feel and encounter
each day.
Gentle attention to your body’s needs while taking patient, regular care of
yourself, will go a long way in managing your sensitivity.
